Successful Relocation

Whether you have relocated twenty times or this is your first time,

it can seem overwhelming to find your place in your new community.

Throw a housewarming party for your neighbors, get to know the people you live by.

Joining a group is always a great way to meet people, groups like Lions Club & Kiwanis are almost everywhere, find a group that suits your passion and join up!

If you have children in school, join the PTA or the booster club.

An organization to volunteer with, helping others makes us feel good too and may relieve some of your moving stress. The City Parks and Recreation Offices will have schedules of events and

sports schedules for kids and even adult leagues such as softball or soccer for adults.

Also, check with the Chamber of Commerce, they are in touch with all the local businesses and should be a great source of information.

You can even be an Ambassador for the Chamber and meet all the business owners first-hand.

Go to all the ribbon cuttings for new businesses, and Business after-hours events are another way to network.

Another great way to get familiar with the new area is to find local Facebook Groups and join in on discussions. Introduce yourself to these groups and you may just find some new friends there! Social media comes in handy and can easily be done from home at a safe distance.

Assimilating into a new community doesn’t have to be stressful or overwhelming.

List your favorite things to do and then google them with your new city name.

This is exactly what I did when I moved here, and if you are needing help finding your way around Brickell MIAMI, FL, I'm always happy to help! Just give me a call.
